Yummy Blueberry Pie

  • 4 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of sugar depending on the tartness of the berries
  • 3 TB flour
  • 1 tsp. fresh lemon zest
  • dash ground nutmeg
  • 2 single pie crusts
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix together the sugar, flour, nutmeg and lemon zest.
  3. Pour over the berries in a medium size mixing bowl and toss to coat.
  4. Have a crust that is not cooked ready to go. If you bought one of the frozen crust at the store, let it thaw on the counter about 15 minutes before baking.

  5. If you made your own crust, then just pour the berries in and put your top crust on. Fold edges under and crimp. Cut a few slits with a sharp knife in the top crust to let the steam escape.

  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Let cool for the same amount of time.
