A simple, yummy corn bread recipe. Quick and easy to make.

  • 1 cup Corn meal
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Sugar less if desired
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/3 cup Oil of choice we use melted coconut oil
  • 1 cup Milk nut milk, or even water can be used with good results - 1 cup
  • 1 Egg lightly beaten
  1. Preheat oven to 400°
  2. Lightly grease 8 inch square baking pan.
  3. Combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Add milk, oil, and egg to flour mixture and whisk just until blended.
  5. Pour into prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Serve warm.
