Emotional Freedom App – The Coolest Meditation App Ever!

I have come across the coolest app ever! For those of you who are familiar with tapping or the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) you are going to love this. If you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about, you are going to want to know what EFT is all about, and you’ll want to get the Tapping Solution App. You can find more about Emotional Freedom Technique right here.

Do any of you have issues with stress, anxiety, fears, or depression? This SIMPLE technique is something I use with my clients all the time. I use it daily myself and I don’t know what I’d do without it.

What is Emotional Freedom or tapping?

Emotional Freedom Technique, is a powerful holistic healing technique that has been proven to effectively resolve a range of issues. It is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.

The basic Tapping technique has you focus on a negative emotion that you are experiencing – a fear, a worry, a bad memory, an unresolved problem, or anything that’s bothering you. While focusing on this issue, you use your fingertips to tap 5-7 times on 9 specific meridian points of the body.

Tapping on these meridian endpoints, while verbally or mentally addressing the root cause of distress, sends a calming signal from the body to the brain, allowing you to feel relaxed and in control.

Nick and Jessica Ortner are some of my favorite mentors.  I have posted about Nickt before and often refer to his work. Well now he has come up with an app that takes EFT to another level.

How does the tapping solution app work?

Nick and Jessica have recorded a big handful of meditations that you can choose from. Here is just a sample of some of the topics available on the app.

  • I’m Stressed About…
  • Motivate me to… Exercise
  • Releasing… Self-Doubt
  • Heal Your Body: Headaches
  • Relationship Support: Clearing Negative Energy Picked Up From Others
  • Sleep Support: Quiet My Racing Mind
  • Turn Your Day Around: Release General Anxiety (I have used this one with GREAT results)!
  • Emotional Support: Critical Self Talk
  • Intimate Relationship Support: Opening Up To Forgiveness
  • Pregnancy Physical Support: Full Body Relaxation

Could you use help with any of these topics?

Most of the meditations are just 8-12 minutes long. Now you can squeeze that into your day, can’t you?

The Tapping Solution app is a FREE download

There are ten free meditations (one for each category – and they will be adding new categories each month).

If you upgrade (which is a NO BRAINER) there are over a hundred other tapping meditations available. I am not getting any kick backs by mentioning this app, I just want you to know about it!

They are currently offering the annual price for the whole library for 50% off. Less than the monthly fee of $11.99.  It ends up being only $4.19 a month with tax when you get the discounted annual option.

Right now it is only offered for iphones, but they are working on getting it for androids.

When it comes to feeling good, and overcoming some of these debilitating issues, the price is NOTHING! You can cancel at any time.

At least check it out! If you know someone else who might benefit from this woo woo stuff, pass on the info.

Here is the scoop

Happy tapping!

26 Day Detox: Emotional Reactions

I went to bed last night feeling like crap physically and emotionally. I was thinking to myself “what the heck have I done?” It’s one thing to choose into something like this, but another to make it public and have to be accountable, and who wants to screw up, right? Who would have thought that changing the way you eat could create such intense emotional reactions! Well, I have been doing pretty good until last night. We were counseled that is expected and almost inevitable that we may have an emotional reaction at some point during this program. After all it is pretty much like going through food addiction rehab. I have always thought to do something like this I would need to go to some place and live for 3 weeks while they prepared my food, monitored my blood, had massages, and had a support group.

I seriously did not think I could do this by myself. I mean I have days that I get so overwhelmed and feel so wiped out that to think of only eating cucumbers, tomatoes and green smoothies all day and having to prepare it all, seemed WAY too overwhelming. I will have to admit that having 23 days left kinda freaks me out a little bit. I try not to focus on that, and like my husband said this morning, “lets just do one day at a time”. So nice to have encouragement like that!

So, back to my night last night. I went to bed with a throbbing headache. My head felt a lot of pressure and my face felt flushed, but the bottom part of my body was cold. Here I am in Utah where the temperature has been in the 90’s the past week and I was cold. Oh, but that didn’t last long, because an hour later I was sweating hot. It felt like I was getting the flu, achy and my stomach did not feel just right. It is not uncommon for me to feel this way occasionally, but I haven’t for a while.

Not only did I feel yucky physically, but my mind started going crazy on me with a bunch of negative chatter. So I started tapping. EFT tapping that is. I was having thoughts like “you have failed as a mother”, “why did I sign up for this thing”, “who am I to be posting about this”, “no one cares about this”, “I have wasted my money”, “SHOULD NOT BE DOING THIS”, “it’s not safe”, ………………………..I continued to tap and express how I felt, softly in my head of course, because my husband was sleeping next to me. He is used to it. After getting it all out, the thoughts quickly began to change to more hopeful thoughts and I felt more at peace and was able to go to sleep. I LOVE EFT!

I had to get up a few times to go to the bathroom, (dumping a lot of water) but slept pretty good, once I fell asleep. My husband woke up this morning so weak. He had lost another 3 lbs. CRAZY. He is not a big guy. I was a little worried about him. He had worked hard yesterday out in the sun while doing this detox. WE ARE FINALLY PUTTING THE BACK PORCH ON OUR HOME ADDITION, YEA.  I had a thought to put a particular essential oil blend on his feet to BALANCE him. Seemed to be quite effective. He felt he needed to eat a normal breakfast (bowl of grain cereal). After he ate breakfast he was fine, and up and running.

I laid in bed a little longer this morning, but popped out of bed and got going. I didn’t feel too bad. Drank my usual lemon water and did a little meditation then jumped on the rebounder for a bit. That thing seriously does wonders. If you haven’t tried jumping on a mini tramp or don’t know what the heck I am talking about, check out my post about it here. Another thing I do, that I think is really helping, is SKIN BRUSHING.

I have been diffusing essential oils that help with letting things go, and applying some motivating blends to my adrenal glands. Doing good so far today. Still craving something salty and crunchy!

It has helped to stay busy, and also to have a nap sometime during the day. Oddly enough, I feel I have a little more energy in a different way, and feel more hopeful and empowered.

We got this!

Until tomorrow,

Clearing Limiting Beliefs About Money

clearing limiting beliefs

Are you struggling with money? Do you find yourself thinking “There is never enough money”? Or catch yourself saying”we can’t afford it”.  What you think, say, and believe about money is what you are going to experience with money. Are you ready to change the way you think and start attracting abundance and prosperity? Here are 5 steps to help you in clearing limiting beliefs about money.

1-BE AWARE

The first step in making any kind of change is to be AWARE. What is your relationship with money? How do you feel? How do you react when you deal with your finances? Are you anxious, sad, fearful, or depressed? Do you feel at ease, relaxed, or at peace? Start paying attention and perhaps take a few notes. When you realize and pay attention to how you feel, you can then look into the WHY.

2-CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS

What thoughts go through your head when you are dealing with money? Perhaps you think “I’ll never have enough money”, “I can’t afford that”, or “I shouldn’t be buying this”. There are all kinds of thoughts that can go through your head. Are they positive or negative? Are they LACK MENTALITY thoughts?

The important thing is to start listening to the chatter in your head and be aware of what you think about money. Start compiling a list of these thoughts. This list will come in handy when you begin processing these thoughts.

3-CHANGE YOUR TALK

The next thing to be aware of is how you SPEAK about money. It is one thing to think a negative thought, but when you put thought into spoken words, you are exponentially reinforcing that thought in your brain. (A good way to reinforce either a good or bad thought. If you want the change things fast, just start speaking things out loud and the universe will hear it).

Pay attention to what you actually say about money.  Have you ever said or heard this “money doesn’t grow on trees”, or “we can’t afford it”. When you start paying attention to what you and others are saying, you will be amazed at how negative we are, in general, as a society.

Years ago, my husband and I were listening to some of Louise Hay’s tapes on the law of attraction and we were surprised to see how negative we were about money. It was where we began switching our thoughts and beliefs about money. We would catch each other making negative statements about money and gently remind each other. It is so nice when you have a buddy on the same page. Once you start to change, you may become a little hypersensitive to other negative talk about money. Be patient. Perhaps you can kindly instruct them on how thoughts affect our reality. They may have no clue.

When you catch yourself having the urge to make a negative comment about money, bite your tongue. Remember, you don’t want to put that energy out there. Because it’s just going to come back to you.

4-CHANGE YOUR MONEY BELIEFS

You may ask, what is the difference between a thought and a belief? A belief is a thought that you make real, or accept as truth. I love Esther Hicks definition

“ A belief is a thought you just keep thinking”.

Simple and profound isn’t it? Beliefs are a little more rooted and are stored in the subconscious brain. Beliefs are programs you have downloaded in your brain based upon your own unique experiences. It is said that we have our programs about life and money downloaded into our brains by the age of 6-8. So what we experienced in our families and environment as a child are key in how we perceive things. My beliefs about money are going to be different than your beliefs because we were brought up in different situations.

What are your beliefs about money? What programs are you running? If you want to know, just look at what you are experiencing in your world. Are you broke? Is there never enough? Maybe you just cannot seem to get ahead. What is your story?

What were your parent’s beliefs about money?

A great way to dive in and find out what your beliefs about money are is to look at your parents. Here is a little exercise that will help you find out what may be in your head.

  1. Get a piece of paper and on the top of the paper write: MONEY
  2. On the left write MOM and on the right write DAD.
  3. Under each column write down what you think your parent’s or guardians’ beliefs were about money. Write down what you heard them say or comment about money.
  4. Take time to really sit and contemplate. What is it you heard about money growing up?

Were there other influential people in your life that affected your beliefs about money? Even if you don’t like what you believe, be honest with yourself and get clear with what it is you think about money.

To jog your memory a little, here are a few of my examples. I remember my mom saying a lot “we can’t afford that”. She would buy something for herself and return it because she felt guilty spending the money on herself. I had to switch these patterns and beliefs myself because I could see how they were manifesting and blocking my own financial progress.

Some other common beliefs about money are: “Having a lot of money makes you a bad person”. “I don’t deserve a lot of money”.  “It’s impossible to get ahead”. “I am just not lucky enough”. You get the picture.

Finding your core beliefs will take some time and is an ongoing process, but so worth it. What is important is that you now have some understanding of the WHY.

You are not crazy, you are not weak, and you are not a failure! You a creature of circumstance and YOU have the power to change!

5-REPROGRAM YOUR BRAIN

Now that you have found some of the root causes of your money issues, here is how to get rid of them. There are many ways to energetically clear negative beliefs and patterns. I will list the ones that I have used and have found effective.

  1. EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE
This is one of my favorites. Often referred to as EFT, this is a simple and quick way to get to the bottom of things. For those of you not familiar with EFT, here is a link to find out more about it. If you haven’t watched this short video on my blog, I highly recommend you do! In short, EFT is a way to release and change the programs in our subconscious brain by tapping on 8 different meridians points on the body. Watch the video of how to do it, and then choose a belief that you want to clear. As you go through the steps, you may find other emotional nuggets show up that will be helpful in getting to the root of the issue. Nick Ortner is one of my favorites in explaining EFT. I also like Cheryl Richardson and Jessica Ortner. I use EFT almost every day with myself and with my clients.
  2. EMOTION CODE
You may have trapped emotions that may be keeping you from experiencing abundance. Dr. Bradley Nelson’s technique of releasing trapped emotions can be explained more clearly here. Emotion Code is a great way to get to things we are not even aware of. Sometimes these gems of information are hidden in our subconscious brain where  we have blocked or forgotten in way of protecting ourselves from further pain. It is possible that some of the programs running in your brain are not even your own. You may have inherited trapped emotions that can be effecting your current experiences. In the same way, you can inherit your eye color or the shape of your nose from your father and mother and other ancestors, you can also inherit trapped emotions from them. Clearing these energies from your system will allow you to move forward. This work is amazing and effective!
  3. RAPID EYE THERAPY
Years ago, in one of my sessions with Carol Tuttle, she was counseling me and helping me clear some issues I had related to money. (Imagine that)? Yep, I had some juicy issue to clear related to money. So intense that I couldn’t even discuss the budget with my husband without raising my voice and quite often getting out of control with emotion and rage. It was all due to beliefs and fears related to money that I had picked up as a little girl. I don’t remember this, but my brother informed me that when I was a baby, he remembers a time when he was holding me in the basement at the bottom of the stairs while my parents were upstairs fighting intensely about money. I was inconsolable and crying. It must have happened frequently because I remember them always quarreling about money when I was older as well. As a child would think and feel, I felt it was my fault and I felt out of control. So as an adult when dealing with money, it would trigger the same response and those same exact emotions. Through my Rapid Eye and EFT therapy sessions with Carol, I was able to clear that junk and I rarely get triggered about money anymore.
  4. POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
Now that you know what your negative beliefs about money are, it’s time to create new beliefs. Here is a little exercise that you can do to create some custom affirmations. Take the list of the negative beliefs and thoughts you have about money. Pick a few to start working on, you don’t want to be overwhelmed. Get a new sheet of paper and fold it in half lengthwise. On the left side of the paper write down the negative beliefs. On the right side of the paper, you are going to write the opposite of what that belief is. Your new way of thinking.
    EXAMPLE:
Old Belief: I never have enough money/ New Belief: I always have enough money
Old Belief: Making money is hard and stressful/ New Belief: I make lots of money doing what I enjoy. It is easy and fun!
  5. I could go on and on. I love this stuff. It works.

Here is another process for changing your beliefs about money that I have found very helpful. You can read about it here.

If you find yourself not in a good place with money, please know YOU CAN CHANGE! YOU DESERVE TO LIVE IN ABUNDANCE AND JOY!

EMOTIONAL RELEASE: Your Path Back To Health

emotional release

Unresolved negative thoughts, feelings and emotions may be contributing to, and be the root cause of your depression, weight problems, and poor health. You can do something about it!  Allow yourself to move into more joy, health, and peace of mind.

I get asked quite frequently by my clients and friends how I discovered and started using muscle testing, EFT and all the other holistic methods I use. So I thought I would type up a little post about my journey. It was on my quest for better health that I learned all of these things. Each experience being another piece to the puzzle. We all have different journeys and we all experience different things. Some of our experiences are very traumatic, while others not so much. Some of us experience more emotional pain than physical pain. You may wonder at times, “why me”?  But I feel the things we experience are for our learning and to help us become who we are supposed to become, and perhaps to help someone else.

One of my kids, I don’t remember which one, but they said to me one day, “thanks for being sick.” I knew what they meant, and they quickly explained that they were grateful for the things that I have learned and taught them while going through my health challenges. I know it sounds strange, but I too am grateful that I have experienced challenges in my health. I have been led to some awesome people, learned more about nutrition, herbs, emotions, energy and the amazing human body; all of which I may not have learned had I not been compelled to do so.

I hesitate to share too much about my personal life, and the things I am experiencing, but if it can help someone who is going through the same thing, maybe it is time for me to speak up. So here is a little bit about how I came to know what I know. What I share may or may not ring true to you, if it does great, if not, move on to other things. By the way, my journey is not complete, I am STILL learning and still not completely healed, BUT ARE WE EVER? Perhaps we can connect and help each other along this wonderful ride of life.
