Quick and Easy Chicken Rolls

Here is an easy, quick, yummy meal.
I will admit it is not the most nutritional entree, but add some lightly steamed broccoli and you can’t go too wrong.  This is always a good Sunday meal when you don’t have a lot of time, and want some kind of meat & gravy combination.  My family enjoys these yummy little “chicken pillows” as they are referred to in our home.
These only take about 15 minutes to prepare and 20-25 minutes to cook.
Makes 8 good size servings.

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 TB butter
  • 2 cans chicken (keep the broth from one can, strain the other)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 TB chopped onion
  • 3 cans crescent roll dough (8 COUNT)
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
 Preheat oven to 325º convection or 350º regular oven.
 Place bread crumbs in low rim bowl.
Blend cream cheese and butter in a mixing bowl.
Add next four ingredients and mix well.
 Roll and separate out 2 sections of dough.
Place the 2 sections of dough on counter top and flatten to join and create about a 6 x 5 inch rectangle.


Place the flattened dough in your hand scoop about a 1/2 cup of chicken mixture in the center. Fold corners into the center and pinch edges together to seal.
Place the roll into the bowl of bread crumbs and sprinkle generously with the crumbs.

Place the rolls into a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden brown.

Serve with chicken gravy.
If I am in a big hurry, I will just make up a quick batch of gravy mix gravy.  If I have more time the NO MSG gravy recipe is always good.
Serve with some yummy, lightly steamed broccoli drizzled with a little olive oil.
