Happy Birthday Louise Hay !
I just found out about this event, and can not let it pass without posting a little tribute to this amazing woman. Louise was born in 1926 and look how fabulous she looks! She is considered one of the founders of the self help movement. Her work in this world teaching her positive philosophy and affirmations to create wellness in body, mind, and spirit, have helped and healed millions, and I am one of them.
Many years ago I checked out her book on cassette tape “Heal Your Life” from the library. I listened to it, over and over again. It rang true to me. Her words, her voice, her philosophies calmed my sole. My husband listened to it as well. It was way back then that my husband and I started to pay attention to our thoughts. Wow, it was quite shocking to see how negative our thoughts were and we didn’t even realize it. We started to change the way we thought and the way we spoke about things.
The book on the left HEAL YOUR BODY is the first book I owned of hers. As you can see, it has gotten some use. My whole family referred to it frequently, and has been a BIG resource for us. When we had a physical issue, whether it was a cold or an ear ache, we would get the little blue book out. Even the kids would use it.
We have gone through several of these books, and I use it with almost everyone of my client sessions. If you don’t have one in your home, you need to get it.
She has a lot of wonderful books. As you can see, I have most of them.
I could go on and on about how much this woman has helped me and mentored me. She truly has a BIG place in my heart. I feel so grateful that she has been a part of my life. I get emotional when I think that it was she, who started me on this journey of finding myself and helping me heal physically and emotionally.
On the day of this milestone 90th birthday, October 8, Hay House and friends will come together to honor Louise. Hay House has put together a lineup of many of my favorite authors who will speak on Louise Hay’s philosophies and how she has affected their life and work. This will be fabulous!
