So, I did it. I limited the space I can keep magazines to two shelves in my work room. I parted with a TON of magazines and sent them to the recycling bin!
I have a new plan to help keep my magazine stash in check. After the magazine is a few months old, I go through it again and rip out any my favorites pages. I do keep images of things that inspire me.

Those pages go in my file or on my vision boards.

I do keep a few magazines and catalogs that are my favorites. Pottery Barn (great ideas for paint colors, home decor, and decorating), Whole Living (until they decided to stop publication), Simple, a few Better Home & Gardens, and Yoga Journals.
|My upcycled bike basket. I have used this cute basket in my bathroom for years to hold magazines.|
|This is a nifty magazine rack I designed years ago, and my amazing, handy husband built it for me.|
Perhaps I do need to go through the magazines on this rack and pitch a few.
But wow, it does feel good to have that big pile of magazines off my floor!
And it feels good to look through a magazine and say “nothing in there I need to keep” and quickly place it in the recycling bin.
New habits in progress…..YEA!
